The Boathouse Palm Beach

Updated: Sep 15, 2018

Drive north In the northern beach, Sydney and you’ll eventually hit Palm Beach. Luckily we live in northern beaches so it only takes us around 40 minutes. It's a bit of trek if you live in inner Sydney but well worth it! Its also where they film Home & Away for any TV show fans!

Our first stop, as always, is the Boat House.

Set on the Pittwater bay you can either sit inside or outside. Absolutely awesome views of the beach sea and sand. With a pontoon for rocking up on your boat, as you do. Décor is on point, very seaside chic. And why wouldn't it be, they also have a home shop down the road to buy a little piece of the vibes. Massive vases of flowers everywhere, exposed weathered wood and thick clay plates you cant help but feel at ease as soon as you walk in.

The food is epic too. Great coffee, juices, and a menu which changes to the season. Opens for breaky and lunch, closes at 3 which is a bit of shame but as we are always up at the crack of dawn we usually get here for 7.30-8. We definitely recommend the fruit plate, it's a work of art!!

If you’re feeling naughty the home made individual banana bread loaves are insanely good, served warm with fresh local butter and mascarpone.

Perfect for – a sunny Sunday morning breakfast.

Pros – its low key, turn up in a shorts and vest and bare feet. Also very child friendly!

Cons – you cant book a table. So unless you want to wait a good 20 minutes for a table, get there early! Failing that they have a to go coffee hut and plenty of outside seating to watch the waves whilst you enjoy your almond cap ;)

If you have time – Hire a boat from the adjoining hire shop. Or take the path up to the lighthouse. Be warned it’s pretty fucking steep though!

Enter with deep pockets, it's a little pricey and you will want everything.

We purchased this an amazing "muscle ball" the green plant pot and the shell ornament!
